Double Hung Windows
Double hung windows are one of the most popular types of windows in New York City. Our manufacturer’s double-hung windows are available in wood, wood clad, aluminum, and steel. They provide traditional details that will make your project timeless. The adjustable sash on a double-hung window offers two operating movements. It can be lowered, letting air in through the top or it can be raised, letting air in through the bottom of the window. Our manufacturers offer frame-in-frame design, over-sized, chain and pulley and many more styles of double hung windows.
Horizontal Sliding Windows
Available in both single and double options, horizontal sliding windows are the perfect alternative to casement windows. Choose from many designs and materials from our long list of manufacturers to find your perfect horizontal sliding window can slide its sash from right or left. Sliding windows are durable, versatile and easy to use, while also offering the maximum amount of light and air to infiltrate your home.
Picture windows, also known as fixed windows are mainly installed in difficult to reach places to let in light. For unobstructed views where ventilation is not a concern, picture windows are ideal. Picture windows create a portrait-like space on walls – hence the word “picture” in their name. They are also a popular choice for letting in natural light without cold air in areas of a room that may be most susceptible to drafts.
Casement windows feature window sashes attached to the frame by one or more hinges. They are hinged on the side and can either swing inwards or outwards, depending on the desired style. They are ideal for providing full ventilation, light and are extremely easy to clean. Casement windows have become increasingly popular in modern architecture and construction.
Tilt & Turn Windows
A popular European style of window, the Tilt & Turn has two functions; tilt the top inwards for minimum ventilation or swing the window frame inwards/outwards for maximum ventilation. European designs often use Tilt & Turn windows for additional ventilation or access, they are one of the most popular styles when it comes to Passive House windows. Tilt & Turn windows can be very large, with each sash up to five and a half feet wide. All our Tilt & Turn windows have a multi-point locking mechanism providing safety and superb air sealing.
Sliding doors are crafted for smooth operation and beautiful design. Standard sliding patio doors open by sliding along horizontal tracks at the head and sill. A sliding door can be designed for either a right-hand or left-hand operation. While hinged doors open inward or outward, sliding doors can accommodate tight-fitted spaces.
Terrace Doors have either single or double panels and are typically hinged – swinging inwards or outwards, they are essentially lighter duty versions of most entrance doors. They seal out weather and noise. A more traditional style than terrace doors, they open and shut effortlessly.
