Gary Adler

In 1980, after graduating from the University of Lowell, Gary Adler joined a small window business as sales manager. When he set out in the industry Gary openly knew very little about windows but was extremely eager to learn. Within five years he had developed a strong set of skills and unmatched product knowledge. By this stage he was not only selling windows but he had also mastered how to install them. After struggling to identify possible growth opportunities, Gary decided to spread his wings and open up his own company, Adler Windows.

Ross Adler, Principal and his Father Gary Adler, CEO of Adler Windows.

Describe what a normal day is like for you at Adler Windows?

There is no such thing as a normal day for me at Adler Windows. I am thoroughly involved in every aspect of the business and therefor no two days are ever the same.

I work with my son Ross, and the sales team selling and identifying possible business opportunities while also liaising with new/existing clients. I also work closely with the engineering and design team to help solve any issues that may occur. Some days will also involve measuring, ordering and working closely with the operations team.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?

Seeing what I started grow into the successful company that it is today. We began in 1986 with just three employees, this year marks our 30th anniversary and it’s amazing to see how the company has transformed.

Adler Windows now employees more than 75 very talented people, later this month we are set to open our Manhattan showroom and we still have our headquarters in our Jamaica office. Adler Windows is NYC’s premier window installation company and we couldn’t have gotten to where we are today without the amazing team we have behind us.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

The highlight of my career so far has to be replacing windows in the same buildings that I replaced windows in almost 30 years ago.

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?

I love golfing so when I am not working you will either find me on the golf course or spending time with my family and friends.
