Adler Windows is proud to have been involved in the construction of 150 Wooster Street, one of Soho’s final ground-up buildings. Our team supplied and installed more than 100 steel window and door units, manufactured by Optimum Window, throughout the 8-story building.
The City’s Landmark Preservation Commission (LPC) were concerned with the buildings original proposal due to the window to wall ratio and how the cornice connected with the base. To meet the LPC’s requirements the cornice was brought to the streetwall and given new detailing. The base, which is painted steel, was reconfigured to align with it. It took approximately a year to get approval from the LPC.
